Our Attorneys bringExperience Fresh Perspective
Jeff Kerr is an Atlanta employment lawyer and one of the founding partners of Mays & Kerr. He earned a B.A. from Rice University and a J.D. from Emory University. As a Georgia employment attorney, Jeff focuses his practice on cases governed by the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), including overtime and minimum wage violations. He also handles cases involving the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and state wage and hour laws.
Jeff values his clients, spending time with them to learn all that he can about their legal issues. He is committed to pursuing justice, and he works hard to protect clients' rights. Because he understands the frustration, stress and uncertainty of litigation, he makes a point to communicate regularly with his clients. Although he regularly updates his clients about the status of their cases, he encourages them to contact him at any time with questions or concerns.
Jeff's clients appreciate his commitment to their cases and his determination to solve their legal problems. Even when he's out of the office, Jeff continues to actively strategize on his cases. Because he is focused on his clients night and day, he can develop creative legal approaches that get results.
Jeff's entrepreneurial spirit is evident in virtually every area of his life. He designed the law firm's practice management application using a cloud-based platform, creating a specialized system customized to meet the firm's specific needs. He also created a digitized environment with an easily searchable database, which offers the firm a seamless and efficient method of storing and retrieving important documents.
In his free time, Jeff enjoys reading fiction and playing guitar.
